Calendars
The need for Carlton & Vintage staff to share information was
very important, so that if a particular customer needed contacting
the user or a colleague that was shared with that calendar entry
would know the necessary information. The attraction of making calendar
notes against customers, orders, products, purchases and service
issues was considered a great feature. Also being able to link to
a Google Calendar was an added benefit. The warehouse are able to
see all their bookings and deliveries at a glance too using the
calendar.
Products & Stock
Carlton as a company generally deliver directly from their warehoused
stock whereas Vintage products are made to order, so the need for
a powerful stock control system was paramount. Carlton stock generally
comes in containers and ordered months in advance of actually being
sold, so the reporting helps to provision the stock requirements
and then the purchase ordering in containers and multi-currency
gave Carlton full visibility of their stock from order to receipt.
They can even allocate orders to the stock due in so as soon as
it arrives it can go to the customer.
Vintage Sofa Company has a
range of different sizes, fabrics and options so when they receive
an order it is sent to the factory for manufacturing. ZigZag allows
the user to instantly create a purchase order from a sales order,
meaning that the product is fully traceable from inception to delivery
.
Multi Users
Carlton & Vintage wanted their system to be used by everyone
associated with the company, even their customers.
ZigZag's multi user levels have worked perfectly for them, so from
Tom the Managing Director having full access with control over the
whole aspect of ZigZag, to a salesperson in one of the many retailers
that stock Carlton's product, they can all benefit.
Tom is able to not only limit what pages the users can access, but
also his product ranges, so it protects any exclusivity he may have
with a particlular product and customer.
The sales agents within Carlton & Vintage can also only access information
on their own customers and again, if certain products are not to
be available to those salespeople they can be hidden as well.
Sales Presenter
Specifically designed to work on a tablet but also just as effective
on a PC or Mac, the ZigZag salespresenter is used by Carlton &
Vintage's salespeople to quickly get to product images and prices.
They can also view their outstanding orders and customer details,
and as they have accounts integration, their customers current credit
status. Once they finish their presentation they can simply click
on save order and it is instantly available to the office to process.
When one of their customers log into ZigZag they are automtically
taken to the sales presenter, whereas with the salespeople they
can view products and prices, their own orders and also place orders
directly into the system.
